(Located east of the island, Frigate Bay, Basseterre) Over the past few years the Strip has become the number one hot-spot on the island. The strip is filled with many beach bars which are open daily serving cold drinks of all assortments, also lunches and fine dining of our local food. The strip is also an ideal place for party lovers as it comes to life mainly on the weekends in the evening from Thursday to Sunday.

Top Bars Located on the Frigate Bay Strip;

The Docks Beach Bar and Restaurant- is the first beach bar and restaurant located at the east of the Frigate Bay Strip and offers a wide variety of services including a sport bar, which serves cold beverage, and also a restaurant, which is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. On Sunday evenings at 9 p.m. the bar comes to life with a different local band performing genres such as; Soca, Reggae, Pop, and Rnb keeping you entertained until 12:00 a.m.

Mr. X Shiggidy Shack Beach Bar- This beach Bar and Restaurant is one of the most popular locations on the strip for locals and tourist alike. Locally prepared lunches are served daily and fine dining at evenings. Chinchilla’s Mexican Restaurant One of the first beach Bars to open in the early 90’s on the strip, originally known as the Monkey Bar under different ownership, it has always been a hot spot for locals and tourist on the island. This bar is known for its amazing drinks and local food and also is beach volley ball court which is used mainly on weekends by locals and visiting tourist.

Kathy’s Beach Bar- is known for its fantastic local lunches, dinners and it’s famous BBQ Ribs. This beach bar provides a quiet and comfortable setting facing directly to the seashore.

Vibes Beach Bar and Restaurant Officially opened on December 4th, 2012 and it has certainly become one of the most popular bars on the famous Frigate Bay Strip (De Strip) and by extension in St. Kitts and Nevis being a favorite for locals and visitors alike. Vibes Beach Bar is the perfect balance of fun night life, with the excitement of a sport bar and the elegance of a beach bungalow. Vibes opens daily from 4 pm until, except for Fridays when they open at 1pm, with exciting nightly themes that brings the beach to life with a variety of live entertainment.

Buddies Beach Bar- is the last bar on the Frigate Bay Strip coming from the east. This bar is known for its fine dining experience of locally prepared foods and also its night entertainment. The setting provides a relaxing mood, when it is opened on weekends, Friday and Saturdays being the biggest nights. The upper floor of the bar is called the party area where its hosts many events such as College Parties, summer, Halloween, and Christmas Parties and can also be booked for private functions.
